Drawing from my experience as an immigrant and a deep understanding of how access to affordable housing shapes opportunity and stability, I bring my private equity experience to help build a strong, enduring foundation for LACAHSA.

My experience is centered on real estate financial analysis, portfolio oversight, and transaction support across mission-driven housing projects. I've worked closely on underwriting, budgeting, and deal coordination for complex real estate developments. I wanted to join LACAHSA because of the opportunity to help scale affordable housing solutions throughout Los Angeles County.

With over 15 years of experience in Human Resources, I bring extensive expertise in HR operations, compliance, and best practices. I am excited to be part of the LACAHSA team and contribute to building a strong HR infrastructure that supports a high-performing organization while cultivating a culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent in support of LACAHSA’s mission and goals.

I have years of experience in governmental accounting and audit oversight and compliance. I am passionate about using my skills to support a mission that I strongly believe in. I am elated to be at LACAHSA where I can contribute to making a positive impact in my community and to those in need.

Brittney Weissman

Director of Technical Assistance and Intergovernmental Relations

Bio

I spent the last 15 years building cross-sector coalitions to address homelessness and behavioral health challenges across Los Angeles County. That work taught me that sustainable housing outcomes require the kind of systemic, jurisdictional alignment that only LACAHSA can provide. I joined as Director of Technical Assistance and Intergovernmental Relations and to help build exactly that infrastructure, from the ground up.

Bio

I bring extensive experience in oversight, audits, and regulatory compliance across public and nonprofit environments. I joined LACAHSA to help build strong, transparent systems from the ground up that protect public funds and support effective housing delivery. My focus is on accountability, measurable results, and ensuring resources reach people who need them most.

Claudia Lima

Chief Strategic Investments Officer

Bio

I bring extensive experience in community and economic development finance including affordable housing, commercial real estate, community facilities, and revitalization efforts. My skills range from underwriting of community development lending and equity investments, management of real estate funds, and real estate development. Here at LACAHSA, I help with the execution of LACAHSA’s business plan including ramping up the division that will manage a portfolio of debt and equity for the production and preservation of affordable housing projects.

I work behind the scenes to make sure LACAHSA staff can focus on achieving our agency goals. I have progressive experience building and improving payroll departments across sectors, and I'm passionate about making things better for my community with the tools in my toolbelt. I'm committed to positive and effective internal customer service.

Rental Protection and Homelessness Prevention Manager

Bio

I have extensive experience working in the housing and homelessness space. I often serve as a housing advocate and system thought partner, working collaboratively and in the best interest of the communities we serve. For me, working at LACAHSA means being part of a team that is creating a system in support of preventing Angelenos from falling into homelessness.

I have experience as a loan analyst at a private affordable housing sector, supporting financing that enabled viable and sustainable housing projects. I am excited to be at LACAHSA because of its mission to deliver scalable housing solutions and lead coordinated efforts to prevent and end homelessness across Los Angeles County.

Bio

I am a passionate community development professional with over 15 years of progressive experience working at nonprofits and at all levels of government, developing and enforcing policy; supporting equitable and resilient development and organizations; and engaging non-profit, public, and private partners in the pursuit of improved public services and policy. At LACAHSA, I lead the development and implementation of strategic housing policy initiatives to keep Angelinos housed, expand housing access, and support a net increase in affordable housing.

I bring more than 20 years of experience leading people strategy across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors, with a focus on results-driven leadership, equity, and employee well-being. I have played key leadership roles at organizations including Alteryx, Staples, and Gorilla Logic, and serve as a trusted advisor and speaker on organizational culture and development. At LACAHSA, I lead talent strategy, organizational development, and culture-building.

I bring extensive experience across philanthropy, advocacy, and government to realize a Los Angeles where all residents can afford to call the region home. My work has spanned leading strategic grantmaking and policy strategies, building cross-sector partnerships, and working in state and local government. I am motivated to work at LACAHSA aligning governance, financing, and accountability to increase affordable housing production, protect renters, prevent homelessness, and strengthen local government capacity across the county.
